Hi, I am Stephanie.

I am a photographer based in Iowa City. By day I shoot e-commerce product shots for a national retailer, by evening/weekend, I am a mama to a toddler and stepmom to two lovely ladies. I also make personal fine art photographic work that I exhibit on occasion.

As an Iowa native, I love open skies, prairie grasses and lightning bugs. Lately I've thought of myself as a bit of a visual magpie--using my camera to collect bits of beauty that I use to line our nest. I am a frequent chaser of pretty light--always noticing long shadows criss-crossing our front lawn and glowing patches of sun dancing across the walls of our home.

I love capturing real moments--I prefer candid quiet moments over highly directed shoots. Sign me up for a shoot in tall prairie grasses during sunset and it'll make me melt every time. I also love the points in time during editing when I catch myself smiling back at the screen as I see all the emotive gooeyness I've managed to capture--it's the best feeling.
